Around 1,000 people are expected to attend a forum discussing vote buying and political dynasty.
The forum this Saturday organized by the church and the Commission on Elections will explore concrete actions against electoral fraud and defects in the country.
“This is a very important activity. Credible elections have been a subject of complaints. We have to deal with choosing the right people to govern our country,” Msgr. Rommel Kintanar, convenor of the Archdiocesan Discernment Group, said in a statement.
Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma, Visayas Clergy Discernment Group head convenor, Education Secretary Armin Luistro, and Comelec Regional Director Temie Lambino are among the speakers of the forum at the Cebu Mariners’ Court in Pier 1, Cebu City./Reporter Ador Vincent S. Mayol
