Boy stabs man

A 24-YEAR-OLD man was stabbed by a 15-year-old boy in barangay Poblacion, Cordova town, off Mactan Island, Cebu.
Mark Christian Choche of sitio Sudlon, barangay Catarman was wounded in the right side of the body.
The boy was arrested by police in his house. He was later turned over to social workers. Police said the two were playing billiards at dawn yesterday when they argued.
It was not immediately what caused the argument, police said. At the height of the argument, the boy punched Choche in the face. The boy then stabbed the victim with an icepick before he escaped. Choche sought help from barangay tanods who took him to Lapu-Lapu City Hospital. The victim was later transferred to Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City./CORRESPONDENT NORMAN V. SNATCHING SUSPECT ARRESTED

AN 18-YEAR-OLD man was arrested after he allegedly snatched the earrings of a 65-year-old woman in barangay Capitol Site, Cebu City.  Charlie Castillo of barangay Luz, Cebu City was arrested by PO2 Arnold Cabildo, who happened to be in the area when the snatching took place on Wednesday morning.  Police said Rose Galon had just came out from a bank in Osmeña Boulevard when her earrings were snatched.  Cabildo, an operative of the City Anti-illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Force, saw the man ride a jeepney.  Cabildo flagged down the jeepney and arrested the man.  The suspect was turned over to the Fuente police station./Correspondent Tweeny M.
