Technician fights off robber

A CELLPHONE technician was wounded after he resisted a robber in barangay Tabok, Mandaue City.

Ergie Millor, 20, sustained cuts in the hands.

The alleged robber, Ramil Mabalhin, was also wounded.

Mabalhin was arrested by police at the Mandaue City Hospital where he went to have his wounds treated.

Police said Mabalhin went to the shop around 10 a.m. yesterday and posed as a customer.

While inside the shop, Mabalhin suddenly closed the roll-up door, poked a knife at Millor and declared a hold-up.

Police said Mabalhin instructed Millo to place the cellphones in a plastic bag.

Millor found a chance to grapple for the knife.

Millor overpowered Mabalhin and stabbed him in the body.

Mabalhin ran out of the shop bringing three units of cellphone.
