Diocesan Electoral Board needs poll watch volunteers for NegOr, Siquijor

THE Diocesan Electoral Board (DEB) has called on the civic-minded individuals to volunteer as poll watchers for the more than 3,000 precincts in Oriental Negros in the forthcoming elections on May 13.

DEB Convenor Msgr. Julius Heruela said, 5,000 volunteers are needed for various precinct assignments in the province and 1,500 poll watchers for more than 600 precincts in Siquijor province.

A volunteer should exercise non-partisanship with voting age from 18 years old and above. He or she should not be publicly supporting any candidate.

Heruela said this effort needs the support of committed individuals who can ensure a clean, honest, accurate, meaningful and peaceful (CHAMP) election.

Interested volunteers may visit the Marian Priest Center, Cathedral Church compound in Dumaguete and look for Msgr. Heruela or the parish priests at their respective church parishes in the province.
