91 CV students bag DOST scholarship

THE Department of Science and Technology (DOST) announced that 91 students from the Central Visayas have qualified for the scholarships in the Philippine Science High School (PSHS) after passing the 2013 national competitive examination held last Sept. 29 at Silliman University in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.

The incoming freshmen students will be admitted to the PSHS Central Visayas campus in barangay Talaytay, Argao town, southern Cebu starting next school year.

“This year’s qualifiers have taken the right path towards progress and are privileged to have the chance of enrolling to one of the prestigious schools throughout the country today,” said DOST Negros Oriental assistant provincial director Roslyn Tambago Tambago.

The PSHS System offers free scholarship for secondary course with special emphasis to subjects pertaining to the Sciences with the end view of preparing its students for a future Science career.
