QCPD officials get medals for catching mayor’s killers
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) was cited on Monday by Metro Manila’s top police official for the arrest of the suspects in the killing of Mayor Erlinda Domingo in Maconacon, Isabela province.
National Capital Region Police Office Director Leonardo Espina personally gave out medals to QCPD officials led by their chief, Senior Supt. Richard Albano, and his deputies Senior Superintendents Joel Pagdilao, Neri Ilagan and Procopio Lipana.
“I’m greatly elated that upon the assumption of our district director, the QCPD has had several accomplishments,” Espina said at the awarding ceremony held yesterday at Camp Karingal, the QCPD headquarters.
He cited in particular the arrest of four suspects in the Jan. 22 killing of Domingo. Marsibal Abduhadi, the alleged gunman; and his cohorts Christian Pajenado, Michael Domingo and Mary Grace Malones-Abduhadi were picked up in separate raids conducted by the police.
