Today, Feb. 12, is the 98th birth anniversary of the late National Artist for Film and Theater Lamberto Avellana. Known as the “The Boy Wonder of Philippine Movies,” he was one of the first Filipino filmmakers to use the motion picture camera to establish a point-of-view, a move that revolutionized the techniques of film narration.
