A 52-year-old woman and her 32-year-old son were arrested in a drug bust operation in barangay Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City on Monday night.

Police said several operations have been conducted against Editha Bahio and Peggy Bahio, 32, but they were able to elude arrest.

Also arrested in Monday night’s operation was Editha’s cousin Anthony Bahio, 35, who was allegedly caught sniffing shabu inside the house of Bahios.

Police said Peggy sold a pack of shabu worth P300 to a policeman who acted as buyer outside the house.

Peggy, however, noticed the presence of the police and ran to their house, Insp. Conrado Manatad, chief of the Mactan police said.

Police chased Peggy and cornered him inside the house where Editha and Anthony were arrested.

Manatad said the mother and son were under surveillance for two weeks before they were arrested.

“She’s very elusive but we were finally found the right time to arrest her,” Manatad said in Cebuano.
