Bisdak Pride holds queer writing competition
THE Bisdak Pride Inc., a group dedicated for the advancement and protection of persons of diverse sexual orientation and gender identity, announced the opening of its 2013 writer’s competition.
As part of our Queer Culture program, we will choose 20 creative writers to be included in our collection of queer stories. What better way to start the month of love is to write stories, Bisdak Pride said in its press statement.
The competition is open to all Cebuano speaking individuals, regardless of gender, sex, age and economic standing in life.
Stories include, but not limited to health, gender and sexuality issues, family and relationships, love and hate, religion and human rights.
The Bisdak Pride accepts entries until Feb. 28. Mail submissions must be postmarked Feb. 28 to be eligible for screening.
