Three killed in Cebu shootings

Three men were killed while another was wounded in separate shooting incidents in southern towns in  Cebu.

Hildardo de Luna, a farmer, succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds in the body while his companion Rene Requina was wounded in the left shoulder.

De Luna and Requina were on their way home on board a motorcycle driven by Romnick Requina past 9 p.m. Thursday. The victims came from a drinking session in barangay Maloray.

Police said the three assailants, who were wearing bonnets, were on a separate motorcycle that had been tailing the victims.

Police said as the other motorcycle moved close, the two backriders drew a gun and opened fire.

Police said personal grudges could be the motive of the attack, SPO1 Veronico Santino of Dalaguete police said.

Seven empty shells of a .45 caliber pistol were recovered in the crime scene.

In barangay Inayagan, Naga City, a man was shot dead by a still-unidentified assailant past midnight Friday.

Angelo Racoma Tapdasan was walking along a road when he was shot in the right arm and chest.

The assailant fled after the attack.

Tapdasan was taken to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City but did not make it alive.

Police recovered two slugs of a 9mm caliber pistol in the crime scene.

In barangay Tunghaan, Minglanilla town, a man was found dead with a gunshot wound in the abdomen at dawn  yesterday.

The victim was identified as Ramil Pueblos, who lived in the pier area in Cebu City, police said.

PO2 Niki Carlos Clarisan of Minglanilla police said the body was found by Richard Ibora, who was inspecting a water meter in the area.
