MANILA, Philippines—The leadership of Pampanga Agricultural College or PAC was elated for the speedy deliberation at the House of Representatives of the bill that would elevate the state college’s status into a university.
During their guesting on Radyo INQUIRER 990 AM’s “Isyu Ng Bayan” last Sunday, PAC president Honorio M. Soriano Jr. said there will be major changes in the school once it becomes a state university.
At present, the said measure is on its third and final reading at the House. It was endorsed by Senator Maneul “Lito” Lapid and was sponsored by Pampanga First District Representative Carmelo Lazatin.
Once it becomes a law, the Pampanga State Agricultural University, said Soriano, will have more courses focused on agriculture, will enhance the existing curriculum and the students will have better training facilities.
Soriano also called on entrepreneurs and businessmen to invest in the school and be part of its development.
He said they welcome investors, local or foreign, through the public private partnership or the PPP program of the Aquino administration.
PAC is located in Magalang town, Pampanga province.
