Court allows Maguidanao massacre suspect to continue medication

MANILA, Philippines – A local court allowed a suspect in the Maguindanao massacre to continue his medication at a hospital in Manila, according to a report on Radyo Inquirer 990AM.

The report quoted the three page motion of Branch 221 Judge Jocelyn Reyes of the Quezon City regional trial court as saying that Datu Anwar Ampatuan Jr. may be treated at the Philippine General Hospital where he has been receiving medication since May 2012.

John Conrad Marcelino Basilio, warden of the Quezon City jail annex at Camp Bagong Diwa, submitted a report by Dr. Yvette Marie Sy who recommended that Ampatuan undergo regular check-ups for his back and stomach pains. John Daryl Dimalanta
