3-bus collision snarls traffic on EDSA

MANILA, Philippines – Traffic was snarled for few minutes in an underpass along EDSA Monday morning following a collision of three buses that were supposedly not allowed to pass through there, a Metropolitan Manila Development Authority officer said.

MMDA Metrobase officer Emma Loristo said three buses—a Jam Transit bus, a 5-Star bus, and a CEM Transit bus—collided with each other along the southbound lane of EDSA-Aurora underpass at 8:48 p.m.

“Wala naming injuries pero kasi bawal sila talaga dapat dumaan doon,”  Loristo said.

She said traffic in the area was earlier affected but has returned to its normal flow after the buses were cleared at 9:12 a.m.
