Passenger injured in bus robbery in Makati

MANILA, Philippines—A passenger was injured following a robbery incident inside a bus in Makati Thursday afternoon, a city police staff said.

Imelda Pasillo of the Makati City police said passengers of Jayross bus (TXZ 610) passengers were held up by at least four unidentified suspects while they were traveling along Edsa inMakati at 4:48 p.m.

One of the male passengers allegedly tried to fight off the robbers, who then stabbed him.

The victim was rushed to the St. Luke’s Medical Center in Taguig City for treatment.

The suspects eluded arrest. The sketchy report did not state whether the robbers made off with cash and valuables from the passengers.—Jamie Marie Elona
