MANILA, Philippines – Commission on Elections (Comelec) Chairman Sixto Brillantes clarified Tuesday that television and radio networks need not secure permission from Comelec to have midterm elections candidates for an interview, but just a notice informing the poll body of the event.

In an interview with Radyo Inquirer 990AM,  he said the poll body may not always be able to reply to each notice, but said that if in case no reply was made, it means that Comelec has no objection against the particular guesting.
