Car smashed, looted

THIEVES preying on parked vehicles struck again in barangay Cambaru, Mandaue City.

The window of a Starex SUV was smashed before the thief took a Galaxy tab worth P28,000 left inside the vehicle owned by Captivating Camotes ticketing office.

The SUV was parked in front of the office in A.C. Cortes.

Lando Lambuhon, 43, the company’s driver, told police that he parked the vehicle in from of the office in A.C. Cortes Avenue around 5 a.m. yesterday.

Lambuhon returned to the car 30 minutes later and was shocked to see the car’ window’s smashed.  Police are still investigating the incident./REPORTER JUCELL MARIE P. CUYOS

Man nabbled for selling ‘shabu’

POLICE arrested a man in a drug buy-bust operation in barangay Alang-Alang, Mandaue City.

Sherwin Lindio, 32, allegedly sold a pack of suspected shabu worth P300 to a policeman who acted as a buyer last Saturday morning, Senior Insp. Franco Oriol, chief of Subangdaku police station, said.

When frisked, police found a small pack containing white crystalline substance from the man’s pocket.

Oriol said Lindio was placed under surveillance for three days before the operation was made.

Three men were also arrested in a separate buy-bust operation in barangay Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu City Saturday night.

Alex Estardo, 29, allegedly sold a pack of shabu worth P200 to A poseur-buyer.

Three sachets of suspected shabu, the buy-bust money and drug paraphernalia were seized from Estardo’s possession, police said.
