MANILA, Philippines—Balete, Batangas Mayor Leovino Hidalgo denied Tuesday having anything to do with the killing of the alleged “jueteng” operator Vic Siman.

In an interview with Radyo Inquirer 990AM, Hidalgo said he was dismayed over recent reports linking his name to the “Vic Siman Group,” saying that he doesn’t personally know Siman.

Siman was among the 13 killed from the alleged shootout in Atimonan town, Quezon last January 6.
