MANILA, Philippines – Justice Secretary Leila De Lima on Monday relieved from services a ranking official of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and his men who were at a party last Friday that figured in at a shooting incident at the bureau’s headquarter in Manila.

Ordered relieved was NBI National Capital Region (NCR) Director Manuel George Jularbal and some of his men. Jularbal was relieved for command responsibility.

The case stemmed when Agent Nestor Pascual of NBI-NCR fired a .40-caliber pistol at special investigator Joselito Guillen of the bureau’s intelligence division while at the party.
