Earlier, a report began making the rounds that President Aquino had named Customs Deputy Commissioner for Intelligence and Investigation Danilo Lim as the new NFA chief in place of Lito Banayo who resigned late last year to prepare for his Congress bid in May.
But Malacañang appeared not to know anything about it.
When asked to confirm the report, Palace officials refused to comment on the matter.
