Fire destroys 15 stalls at Quezon City flea market

Nearly P1 million worth of property was destroyed in a fire that razed several stalls at a Quezon City flea market on Monday night.

The blaze broke out at the flea market at the corner of Kaunlaran Street and Commonwealth Avenue in Barangay (village) Commonwealth.

Fire marshal Senior Supt. Bobby Baruelo said some 15 stalls were destroyed although the cause of the fire, which started at 10:56 p.m., has yet to be determined.

It reached the second alarm and was placed under control at 11:19 p.m.—Julie M. Aurelio
