Man kills self after fight with partner

/ 10:40 PM January 07, 2013

The body of a man was found hanging from the ceiling of his house on Sunday morning in Pasig City. According to a report submitted to Chief Insp. Rodrigo de Dios, the city’s investigation unit head, Randy Evanez, 28, was found dead inside a room in his house in San Pedro Compound, Barangay (village) Kalawaan at 3:50 a.m.

The report said the victim had a blanket tied around his neck. Hopeless Pancho, the victim’s live-in partner, told investigators that before the victim’s body was found, they had an argument as Evanez believed she was having an affair with another man.

Police said they did not find a suicide note at the scene although they added that there were no signs of external injuries on the victim’s body. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.—Kristine Felisse Mangunay
