Tabal, Andrin siblings highlight Cooperative Advocacy Run

Mary Joy Tabal and the Andrin siblings  were winners in the Cooperative Advocacy Run of the Cebu City Cooperative Development Council (CDC) , the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region VII and the Cebu City Leaders Council (CLC) yesterday at the Plaza Independencia.

Tabal started off her year the same way she ended 2012 as she topped the 10-kilometer women’s race. She also ended the previous year with a bang by winning in the  Sinulog Fun Run.

Tabal clocked 38 minutes and 37 seconds to win the 10k crown while Cristy Tutor finished in 44 minutes and 48 seconds to wound up second.  Keisha Mae Delechos placed third with a time of 45 minutes and 37 seconds.

The Andrin sisters— Lovely Fe, Cherry and Jhean— dominated the  5k women’s race after taking the top three spots.

FEATURED STORIES

Lovely Fe clocked 21 minutes and 30 seconds to win the crown while youngest sister Cherry finished a second behind for second place. Eldest sister Jhean finished in 22 minutes and 17 seconds for third place.

Kenyans Abraham Missous and Douglas Mwiti finished one and two respectively in the men’s 10k class.  Michael Largo rounded off the top three in the men’s 10k race.

Fellow Kenyans Isaac Simat and Eliud Kering placed first and second in the 5k race. Robert Daang came in at third.

Ralph Edward So, meanwhile, won first place in the 3k race while Issa Priagula topped the female side. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
