13 hurt in QC road mishap

Thirteen persons were hurt after a speeding passenger jeep  hit a car along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City Friday morning.

A QC Police District-Traffic Sector 3 report showed the latest accident took place in front of the UP-Ayala Technohub at 7 a.m.

Most of the victims were students who were brought to East Avenue Medical Center for treatment. Authorities said they had in their custody the jeep driver, identified as Jaymar Malanao.

In San Juan City, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Friday dismantled structures obstructing creeks, including a portion of a barangay hall.

The teams, composed of the members of the flood control unit of the MMDA, began its day-long clearing operations in Barangay Maytunas. With a report by Niña Calleja
