Trike driver mauled in Pasay
A tricycle driver was mauled by a group of unidentified men after a fight during a drinking spree heated up in front of Station Grill and Resto Bar on Arnaiz Avenue in Pasay City.
The victim, identified as Jayson Puntawi, 26, residing in Cubao, Quezon City, was immediately brought to San Juan de Dios hospital after he was beaten up by around eight people. A waitress said an argument broke out between two groups drinking at the bar, leading to a fight between two of the people from both groups.
The floor manager pacified the groups immediately but as the members of the first group left, the people from the other table challenged them to a fight. Puntawi, however, got the worse of it as his attackers fled afterward.
The police said they were still trying to identify the members of the other group.-Jodee Agoncillo
