A KOREAN is facing trial in court after the car he drove hit and killed a Briton and injured an 11-year-old boy in barangay Talamban, Cebu City.
Jeong Soyoung, a resident of barangay Tawason, Mandaue City, was indicted by the CebU City Prosecutors’ Office on charges of reckless imprudence resulting to homicide and physical injuries.
Bail was recommended at P30,000.
Soyoung drove the Honda CRV with plate number YAU-282 that hit 55-year-old David Jowett and Jett Fuentes last Dec. 8.
Jowett died on the spot while Fuentes sustained bruises all over the body.
Soyoung reportedly tried to escape after the incident but was cornered by police./REPORTER ADOR VINCENT S. MAYOL
