Security personnel of Globe reported to IDMB after they learned that Repdos is only an agent contrary to his previous claims that he was a unit manager of Cocolife Insurance Co. located in Osmeña Boulevard, Cebu City.

Gerald Bechayda, a member of Globe’s security personnel, said Repdos had previously availed of a plan where he got a free phone using a fake name.

Bechayda said that in previous transactions, the suspect submitted identification cards bearing the names Nonito Montemayor and Ronnie Flores.

Repdos identified himself as the unit manager of Coco Life Insurance co. using a fake certificate of employment.

In previous transaction, Globe Telecom called up the insurance company to verify the suspect’s background.

Police said Globe was not able to catch the suspect using a fake name since the call was answered by a cohort.

Because of the incident, Bechayda said they will strengthen their security measures to avoid a similar incident from happening again.

“We won’t approve anymore without the company’s verification,” said Bechayda.

Bechayda said an ocular inspection of the company will be made to check the profile of the applicant.

In an interview, Repdos admitted that what he did was illegal.
