MANILA, Philippines–A laborer doing roof repairs at a construction property in Quezon City died Thursday after he fell and hit his head on the concrete.

Case investigator Police Officer 2 Jogene Hernandez said Jhon Paul Sese, 23, was on the roof of the makeshift bunkhouse for workers of the soon-to-be constructed building on Timog Avenue in Barangay Sacred Heart at around 9:35 a.m. when the accident occurred.

Sese was fixing the roof of the makeshift quarters when part of the roof gave way, causing him to lose his footing and fall.

His co-workers on the ground, Nino Cavaynero and Jason Golvilio, rushed him to the East Avenue Medical Center, where he died at around 11:27 a.m. during treatment.
