Park N’ Go makes final in Power Forty caging

PARK n’ Go Bakeshoppe trounced Water Market, 66-60, while the Utility Assurance Corp. (UTASSCO) crushed Jenjic Commando, 75-63, Tuesday night in the semifinal round of the Power Forty Ball Club-2012 Christmas basketball tournament at the Inayawan covered court.

The Breadmakers bucked a sluggish start to forge a 30-all tie at the half then held a slim, 46-44 lead entering the final quarter. Park n’ Go outscored Water Market in the fourth, 20-16 to automatically advance to the final round.

Park n’ Go will face the winner of this Saturday’s deciding game between Utassco and Jenjic Commando.

Erik Abatayo led Park n’ Go with a game-high 17 points while four other teammates scored in double figures.

Kaka Cabatas and Joel Cañete paced Jenjic with 18 and 16 points, respectively.

Meanwhile, Wewe Cabrera and Michael Veloso led Utassco with 16 and 12 points, respectively while Kaka Cabatas and Joel Cañete paced the Commandos with 18 and 16 markers.
