QC fire razes P8-M worth of properties
MANILA, Philippines—Roughly P8-million worth of properties went up in smoke when fire gutted several houses in Quezon City Tuesday, a city fire officer said.
Senior Fire Officer 3 Felipe Ariza said two 2-story houses, and a five-door apartment on Taurus Street in Barangay (village) Tandang Sora in Quezon City were hit by fire at 11:10 a.m.
While investigators have yet to determine the cause of the blaze, Ariza said the fire may have started from a bedroom on the second floor of one of the houses owned by Nestor Perez Jr.
The fire reached third alarm before it was put out at 1:14 p.m., he said.
He also said a 38-year-old man, identified as Robert Likid, was wounded in the right foot. Jamie Marie Elona
