Security guard stabbed dead in staff house

A security guard was stabbed dead by an unidentified assailant in a staff house of the National Power Corp. in barangay Talavera, Toledo City. Cebu.

The body of Jerson Caparida Sanchez, 23, was found on top of a table by maintenance worker Rene Engaling.

Engaling went to the staff house to switch off the light when he was found the bloodied Sanchez around 6 a.m. yesterday.

Sanchez of Angelic Security Agency had stab wounds in the face.

The victim’s 9mm Norinco pistol with 12 bullets was missing and was believed to have been taken by the assailant, police said.

SPO3 Henry Acosta, investigator of the Toledo City police, said they are looking for the company’s former maintenance worker Alsped Allecer, 21, for questioning.

Police said Allecer had a misunderstanding with Sanchez before he resigned.

Police said Sanchez caught Allecer bringing a woman in the staff house last month.
