MAN FOUND HANGING DEAD

A 33-YEAR-OLD man was found hanging dead by his cousin in their house in barangay Mabolo, Cebu City.

Christopher Caminade was found suspended from a ceiling with a nylon rope tied around his neck around 8 p.m. Thursday.

The man’s cousin, Elizalde, told police that he was taking a bath when he noticed that the lights in Caminade’s room was on.

Elizalde went to Christopher’s room and found him hanging from the ceiling.

Elizalde sought help from his uncles who brought the victim down.

Paramedics from the Emergency Response Unit Foundation (Eruf) tried to revive the man to no avail.

HARDWARE IN MANDAUE BURGLED

UNIDENTIFIED thieves ransacked a hardware in Mandaue City.

Police said the burglary went unnoticed after the thieves cut the wiring of the store’s alarm system.

The burglars gained entry by destroying the roof of FC Tile Depot in M.C. Briones Street in barangay Guizo.

The theft was discovered by store helper, Richard Salgado, 33, and sales representative, Jan Micheal Degallado, 26, at 8:40 a.m. yesterday.

Salgado and Degallado called the police after discovering the big hole in the roof.

A laptop worth P30,495 and a P65,900 cash which were kept in a vault were missing, police said.

Police recovered pliers which were used by thieves in cutting the wiring of the alarm system and in destroying the roof.

Police said the thieves were familiar with the establishment.
