TEAM Charlie stopped the two-game run of Foxtrut, 85-82, Saturday night to even their records at 2-1 (win-loss) while Team Hotel nipped Golf, 99-93 to improve to 2-1 while the latter dropped to 1-1 in the Center Katipunan A. Lopez Christian Organization 2nd Christmas basketball tournament.
Erstwhile leader Foxtrut jumped to a 22-15 rally in the opening period but Charlie responded with a 29-22 run in the 2nd stanza to tie the count at 44-all at halftime.
Then, in the 3rd, Charlie unloaded a, 17-8 bomb for a, 61-52 lead heading to the final quarter where it bucked Foxtrut’s repeated rallies.
Estoy Panerio and Dodong Soco led Team Charlie with 30 and 22 points, respectively while Marlon Indiola paced Foxtrut with 20 points.
In the other game, Team Hotel led from start to finish in beating Team Golf with Dennis Saceda and Kelven Cinco scoring 30 and 27 points, respectively. Kit Arellano posted a night-high 42 points for Team Golf.
