An 18-year-old woman sought the help of police after she was allegedly raped by the brother of her employer in barangay Pajac, Lapu-Lapu City.
The woman said the abuse happened while she was doing household chores last Saturday noon.
Acting on the complaint, police rushed to the house of the woman’s employer and arrested Eric Jaime Ceno, 30.
The helper said she was in her room when the man suddenly barged in.
The woman said she shouted for help but no one heard her since they were the only ones left at home at the time.
The woman tried to run but the man overpowered her.
The woman said Ceno threatened that something bad would happen to her if she will report the abuse.
After the alleged rape, the woman said she continued doing household chores until she found a way to escape and reported to the police her ordeal.
Police said Ceno tried to escape through the back door of the house.
A brief chase ensued before the man was cornered, police said.
Ceno was detained at the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office (LLCPO) pending the filing of appropriate charges against him, police said.
