MAN NABBED IN DRUG BUY-BUST
AN unemployed man was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in barangay Opao, Mandaue City.
Charles Gonsales, 29, was detained at the Opao police station pending the filing of charges against him.
Police said Gonsales sold a pack of suspected shabu worth P300 to a poseur buyer around 9 p.m. Saturday.
Operatives of the Opao police headed by Senior Insp. Stephen Amamag-id immediately moved in after the sale was consummated.

MAN KILLED IN ROAD ACCIDENT
A MAN died after the motorcycle he rode crashed along the highway in barangay Poblacion, Dalaguete, southern Cebu.
Police identified the fatality as Rolito Zamora Jr. His backrider Arcadio Amrad sustained minor injuries.
The victim attended a burial prior to the accident.
Police said Zamora lost control of his motorcycle while trying to overtake another motorcycle past 4 p.m. last Saturday.
Zamora was thrown off the motorcycle and landed in the opposite lane where he was hit by a Mitsubishi car driven by Louie Ponce, 48, police said.
Ponce surrendered to the police after the incident.
In barangay Cambayong, Compostela town, northern Cebu, a man died in after the motorcycle he drove collided with a car past 9 a.m. Saturday.
Police said Jude Camanse tried to overtake a motorcycle in a curved portion of a road when the collision occurred.
The impact threw Camanse, who had no helmet on during the accident, into the windshield of the Suzuki car driven by Julius Quiño, who surrendered to the police./Correspondent Joy Cherry S. Quito
TANOD GUNNED DOWN
A TANOD was shot in the chest by his neighbor in barangay Jomgao, Argao town, southern Cebu.
Nicholas Manzon Plaza, 47, died while being brought to the hospital.
A personal grudge was the motive in the shooting, PO1 Reynato Nacaytuna of Argao police said.
Police said the suspect Rosel Lopez Remoroza, 35, went to the tanod’s house and without warning shot the victim past 11 a.m. Saturday.
