Japan’s Aikido master Soke to hold another workshop
AIKIDO master Hitohiro Saito Soke will stage another Aikido seminar this weekend at the Baseline Recreational Center. This will be Soke’s third Philippine visit in the last two years.
The aikido workshop and seminar is expected to draw another horde of aikido practitioners and enthusiasts to witness Soke’s breathtaking techniques.
Soke will be accompanied by Seventh Dan Shihan or aikido professor Dennis Tatoian who also heads the Philippine Traditional Aikido. He will act as Soke’s official translator. Aries Supremo from the Traditional Aikido of Manila will also lend his expertise.
On Saturday, the activity will kick off with the Tai-Jutsu seminar followed by the buki-waza workshop. Two sets of seminars are also scheduled on Sunday.
Registration fee is pegged at P1,500 good for two days and P1,000 for those who wish to participate for only one day.
Last February Soke taught Cebuano Aikido enthusiasts the basic Aikido techniques along with the launching of his book. Arnel Tereso Ruiz, Cebu’s Misodo Aikido head instructor said he is very glad about Sensei Soke’s second visit this year, so that his Aikido will be promoted to more Cebuanos.
