Teenager injured in videoke bar shooting
A 17-YEAR-OLD boy was shot and wounded by a man inside a videoke bar in barangay Umapad, Mandaue City.
The boy was wounded in the left ankle.
Police arrested Lilet Torres, 21, who allegedly handed the gun to the gunman identified as Alex Cortes, 30.
Police are are still investigating what triggerred the shooting which happened at dawn yesterday.
Police said that while the boy, his friends John Fritz Lacuna,19, and Joy Garciano, 24, were drinking, Cortes’ group shouted at them.
Lacuna and Garciano said they saw Torres hand a gun to Cortes who then started shooting.
Lacuna and Garciano ran but Cortes chased them and continued shooting.
Lacuna and Garciano went to the police station to seek help.
Police went to the bar and arrested Torres.
Cortes already left when police arrived.
The boy was taken to the Mandaue City Hospital.
