NEW YORK —A lawyer for a hotel maid accusing Dominique Strauss-Kahn of sexual assault says his client met with New York City prosecutors for nearly eight hours.

The attorney for Nafissatou Diallo said Wednesday that the meeting went well, and focused on tapes of two conversations she had with an incarcerated friend shortly after Strauss-Kahn’s arrest.

The meeting was the first since the Manhattan District Attorney’s office publicly announced they had doubts about the woman’s credibility. Strauss-Kahn has been charged with attempted rape and other crimes.
