JONHER Merchandise of Jojie Espina routed Cebu Holdings Ayala, 86-48, Wednesday night in the ongoing 4th Inter-Merchants League basketball tournament at the Pope John covered court in Mabolo, Cebu City.
Jonher Espina, a CIT University Wildkitten led Jonher Merchandise’s strong start by firing 12 of his 23 points in the first canto which gave Jonher a, 23-12 lead. Jonher widened its advantage to 31 points, 55-24, at the half before pouring it all in the fourth for the 38-point massacre.
Jonher Espina topscored with 23 points spiked by six trifectas while Joppy Gacayan and Bong Lopez combined for 31 markers. Catadman and Postadio paced Cebu Holdings Ayala with 16 and 14 points, respectively.
Earlier, Radisson Blu Hotel led from start to finish in dumping Diamond Suites Hotel, 86-68, with Brian Gonzales and Romulo Gimenez scoring 16 and 14 points, respectively. Aka James and Alberio paced Diamond Suites Hotel with 22 and 15 respectively
