MANILA, Philippines – The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Thursday announced that it disallowed four more partylist groups from participating in the 2013 midterm elections.

Comelec chairman Sixto Brillantes Jr, in a press conference, released the list of disqualified party-list groups.

Brillantes said the poll body cancelled the accreditation of existing party-lists 1-UTAK, 1- st Kabagis, and Senior Citizen’s Party.

Comelec also denied the application of ALONA for next year’s party-list race, the  poll chief said .
