Shot, Train trample rivals

VINTAGE Shot routed Vintage Car, 102-75, while Vintage Train crushed Vintage Bomb, 104-75, Tuesday night at the close of the elimination round of the Vintage Ball Club-2012 Christmas basketball tournament at the Pooc Sports Complex in barangay Pooc, Talisay City, Cebu.

Vintage Shot held a single-digit lead in the first three periods then tore the game apart in the fourth quarter with a blistering 34-12 run sparked by Marlon Reyes, Danny Lastimosa and Jonathen Ochea.

Cesar Alcordo and Rickboy Nacario led Vintage Shot with 23 and 20 points, respectively while Ramil Gela and Tata Cabañero paced the losing Vintage Car with 25 and 22 points, respectively.

In the other game, Vintage Train jumped to a, 32-18 run in the opening period and maintained its double-digit lead until the final buzzer to seal the 29-point demolition.

FEATURED STORIES

Amik Rabaya and Ruel Traya led Vintage Train with 22 and 15 points, respectively, while Julius Guba and Odie Dela Calzada paced Vintage Bomb with 22 points apiece.

This event is made possible through the efforts of Talisay City Councilor Hon. Rodi Cabigas who founded the Vintage Basketball Club.
