De Lima, gov’t lawyers to study CA ruling vs panel probing Reyes brothers
MANILA, Philippines—Justice Secretary Leila De Lima on Tuesday said she will discuss with government lawyers the steps to take on the Court of Appeals’ ruling nullifying the creation of panel of investigators on the Ortega slay case and the resolution finding basis to file murder charges against the Reyes brothers.
“I will ask the OSG (Office of the Solicitor-General) to take the appropriate course of action. I think a motion for reconsideration will be filed first with the Court of Appeals,” De Lima told reporters.
She said she will go over the decision first and then meet with the OSG.
