Free dental care for special children

THE Down Syndrome Association of the Phils. (DSAPI) Cebu Chapter, in partnership with the Cebu Dental Society and Juanito King Foundation, sponsored free dental services at the school grounds of Stimulation and Activity Therapeutic Center (STAC) in sitio Soong I, barangay Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City last Nov. 9.

Thirty-four children with Down Syndrome and those with learning and developmental disabilities participated in the event.

STAC, a member of DSAPI, provides free comprehensive rehabilitation, pre-school special education and stimulation activities to the children with disabilities aged 0-14 years old.

Its satellite centers are in Naga City and the towns of Barili, Liloan and Cordova.

The next activity of DSAPI Cebu will be the Christmas party for all members on Dec. 1 at the Sacred Heart Center.
