German found dead
A German man was found dead inside his rented apartment in barangay Lahug last Sunday afternoon.
Police said the caretakers of the rented apartment found the body of Mario Hasler, 47, in his bed.
Investigation showed that the apartment caretakers Cathy and Keneth Valiente earlier checked on the German who had gone to his room to sleep.
They became concerned after Hasler didn’t answer the door after they knocked several times. When they forcibly opened the door, they found the German already dead. They then informed tanods and police.
SPO1 Ruth Bongo Violango, Homicide Section chief, said there were no external injuries in the victim’s body suggesting no foul play happened. Violango, however, recommended that an autopsy be conducted on the German to determine the cause of his death./Correspondent Chito O. Aragon
