HANGING DEAD in BALAMBAN

A 63-YEAR-OLD man was found hanging dead at home in barangay Pondol, Balamban town, Cebu.

Police said Euberto Seras Delator had been suffering from a nervous breakdown.

His  daughter found him hanging from a beam  with an electrical cord around his neck  about  10 a.m. last Friday. There were no signs of foul play, said police./Correspondent Joy Cherry S. Quito

Police said Jonathan Velasco sold a pack of suspected shabu to an undercover agent past noon yesterday.

Police searched the house of Velasco and seized four  packs with white crystalline substance believed to be shabu.

PO3 Godofredo Dumdum of the Balamban police said they have been receiving reports from some residents that Velasco was selling drugs in the area.

CITY POLICE RAID YIELDS GUN

A MAN was arrested after a gun was found in his home during a police raid in barangay San Antonio, Cebu City.

Aside from a .38 revolver, drug-sniffing paraphernalia was also found in the house of Raul Valencia Lu, 45.

The raid was conducted by  the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Central Visayas based on a search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Enriqueta Belarmino of Branch 57.

Police said there had been reports that Lu was seen brandishing a firearm outside his house in Pelaez Street.
