Eight persons were arrested after they were allegedly caught sniffing illegal drugs in separate incidents in Cebu.
Alein Grant Yuson, 32, and his three friends were caught by his father during a pot session in the living of their house in barangay Jubay, Liloan town, northern Cebu around 8 a.m. last Saturday.
Police also arrested Yuson’s friends Ivoney Capito, 28; Mark Harold Carpentero, 19; and Dennis Sarmiento, 24.
Police said Yuson’s father, Hercules Grant, immediately called the police after he caught his son and his friends using shabu.
Police recovered five empty plastic sachets with traces of suspected shabu, an improvised tooter, several pieces of tin foils and eight disposable lighters.
Several hours later, three men and a teenager were also caught using shabu in a shanty in barangay Buagsong, Cordova town in Mactan Island.
Arrested were Elmer Rosani, 33; Ryan Tirol, 21; Renante Rosani, 23; and Bartolome Auxtero, 18.
The arrest came after police received a tip from a concerned citizen regarding a group of men using shabu in a shanty.
Recovered from the shanty were four sachets containing suspected shabu, four empty sachets, six tinfoils, two disposable lighters and a plastic container./Correspondent Joy Cherry S. Quito
