Utassco keeps solo lead in Power 40 hoopla

THE Utility Assurance Corp. (UTASSCO) scored a come-from-behind, 96-90 win over Ang Tibay Mo, its fourth win in as many games and strengthen its hold of the lead while Allyn & Sons (3-3) routed winless Alfa Electrical, 124-97, Tuesday night in the Power Forty Ball Club-2012 X’mas basketball tournament at the Emilio Jaca Memorial gym.

Ang Tibay Mo dominated Utassco in the first three periods and posted its biggest lead of 19 points, 57-38, to rule the half and maintained its double-digit lead with a, 77-60 tally heading to the final quarter.

Then in the fourth, Utassco outscored Ang Tibay Mo, 36-13 to complete its come-from-behind win.

In the other game, Allyn & Sons improved to 3-3 after routing Alfa Electrical with July Capala scoring a game-high 27 points. Joel Jaca paced Alfa Electrical with 23 markers.
