Children’s Haven seeks kin of abandoned kids

THE Children’s Haven of the Albert Schweitzer Familienwerk Foundation Philippines Inc. (ASFFPI) in barangay Pilipog, Cordova, Cebu is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the parents and relatives of the abandoned children.

Baby boy Joseph, estimated to be 7-years old, was found in Lawaan 1, Talisay City, southern Cebu by Mrs. Adelaida Alferez Cabradilla on Sept. 5, 2010. The child came to their house with her daughter who came home from school. He was asking food from her daughter. Before admission to the orphanage center, the child was seen roaming on the street for several days already.

Baby boy Cris, estimated to be three-years old of unknown residence, was referred by the anti-mendicancy personnel to the Parian Drop-in Center on May 21, 2012.

The Children’s Haven is requesting the parents and relatives of Joseph and Cris to visit the center or contact social worker Ligaya Maquiling or executive director Martiniana D. Mercado at 4967608.

Failure of the parties to appear within one month will subject the children for legal abandonment in court.
