MANILA, Philippines—Bad weather caused by the cold front prevailing in Northern Luzon and the intertropical convergence zone prevailing in the central part of the country led to the cancellation of up to eight flights at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Thursday.

The latest to be canceled was Cebu Pacific flight 5J-325 to Legazpi, which was supposed to depart NAIA Terminal 3 at 3 p.m. Consequently, its return trip, 5J-326, set to arrive at 5:30 p.m., was also canceled.

Air Philippines Express flight 2P-581, also to Legazpi, which was supposed to depart at around 1 p.m., was also canceled, as well as its return trip, 2P-582, which was supposed to arrive around 3:30 p.m.

Two other Cebu Pacific flights to Tuguegarao City—5J-508 and 5J-504—and their return trips were also canceled Thursday morning. Their scheduled return flights in the afternoon were also cancelled.
