4 persons hurt in grenade explosion in Sultan Kudarat
KIDAPAWAN CITY, Philippines—Four persons were hurt when a fragmentation grenade exploded inside the public market of Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat, Wednesday noon, police said.
Inspector Jan Albert Rongavilla, the town’s chief of police, said two suspects tossed the grenade at a buy-and-sell store owned by Rasul Delna.
Rongavilla identified the victims as Rasul Delna, Ruby Subang, Sanga Buisan and a certain Lala.

The victims were taken to the Galapati clinic for treatment of shrapnel wounds.
Police are still determining the motive and the identity of the suspects.—Williamor A. Magbanua
