THE Be Resorts Mactan, through its corporate social responsibility initiative “Be the Spark for Change,” partnered with World Vision Philippines in its “Count Me In” program for the school children.

Last July 14, Be Resorts represented by general manager Garry Garcia and Manila sales manager Che Perez turned over a P1 million cash vouchers to World Vision Philippines Publics in Ministry director Santos Godornes Jr. and direct marketing associate Mike Torres in a simple ceremony at the World Vision office in Manila.

World Vision launched the “Count Me In” campaign to get more individuals and groups to sponsor children and be part of the more than 17,000 Filipino sponsors who are changing lives.

Be Resorts Mactan  supported the program after seeing the declining student turnout in schools with only six out of 10 Filipino children finishing grade school.

FEATURED STORIES

Be Resorts encouraged more people to sponsor children by giving them incentives in the form of discount vouchers to be used and honored as cash when they visit the resort.

For every child sponsor pledge, an incentive cash voucher will be given to the donor with its corresponding equivalent. Vouchers will be released on a first come, first served basis, until supplies last and will be honored for room accommodation during the entire school year, from June 1, 2011 to March 31, 2012.
